This is a hydraulic press (motorized Jack press)I put together out junk to help a knifemaker friend who wanted to make damascas knives but did not have a power hammer. He has been using it for about 3 years with no problems. He has probably made hundreds of damascus billets with it. It is not the prettiest
machine but it does work very good- a little slower than the $3000 machines
but what do you want for $200.-- this is the front(operator side)
